Abstract
We show that the effective theory of a supersymmetric model can violat e SUSY at the level of dimension six operators and higher. This phenom enon occurs in gauge theories which involve heavy vector-superfields a nd different mass scales. It appears in SUSY GUT theories and is impor tant in models of propagating Higgs boundstates. (C) 1997 Elsevier Sci ence B.V.
