Abstract
Incorporation of [1-C-13]- and [U-C-13(6)] glucose shows that monoterp enoid essential oils (geraniol, menthone, pulegone, thymol) are biosyn thesised in plants by a pathway which is different from the establishe d mevalonic acid route. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
