Abstract
The relative stereochemistry of the two acyclic carbons separated by a sing le bond was determined from three-bond homo- and heteronuclear coupling con stants. The analysis of data was based on a purely qualitative interpretati on of the Karplus relationships. The methodology presented could resolve ac yclic diastereoisomers if adequate sets of three-bond coupling constants ca n be measured. Copyright (C) 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
