An experiment to search for hypothetical neutralino dark matter using lithi
um fluoride bolometer array is underway. This bolometer array consists of e
ight pieces of 21 g LiF bolometers. Fluorine has large sensitivity for axia
lly coupled neutralino compared with other nuclei. We report on the first r
esults from the pilot run in a shallow depth site (15 m w.e.). From the mea
sured energy spectra the exclusion limits for the cross section of the elas
tic neutralino scattering off protons are evaluated. (C) 1999 Elsevier Scie
