A direct evaluation of the Lambda(+)(c) absolute branching ratios: a new approach

A novel method for a direct measurement of the exclusive II: branching rati os is described. The approach is based on the peculiar topology of the quas i-elastic charm neutrino-induced: events on nucleons. The intrinsic potenti ality of the method is thoroughly discussed using a perfect defector. As an application, the statistical accuracy reachable with existing data sample has been estimated. From a theoretical point of view, such a measurement pr ovides a better understanding of the baryonic b-decays. (C) 1999 Elsevier S cience B.V. All rights reserved.
