Ion energy spectra analyzers for investigation of plasma in an axial magnet
ic field are considered. These analyzers can measure the velocity spectra o
f the magnetized ion components of dense plasma. The small inlet hole metho
d is used in presented analyzers for spatial separation of electron and ion
flows. The construction and operating features of these analyzers are desc
ribed. The described analyzers have been used for measurements of ion param
eters of plasma flow with magnetized titanium ions generated by the univers
al plasma source. Experimental results are presented and discussed. (C) 199
