Yb. Skuratnik et al., Model for the hydrogen sorption by a metal with potential varied in a cyclic stepwise manner, RUSS J ELEC, 35(9), 1999, pp. 927-933
Expressions are derived for theta, which is the coverage of a metal surface
by hydrogen atoms occurring when the potential is varied in a cyclic stepw
ise manner at different frequencies f, amplitudes, and mark-to-space ratios
. It is shown that, at sufficiently high f, theta tends to a quasi-steady-s
tate value which depends on the amplitude and mark-to-space ratio of a cycl
ic pulse. The dependence of theta on the hydrogen diffusion in the metal is
analyzed.
