Abstract
The first catalytic asymmetric synthesis of (S)-alpha-hydroxy-H-phosphinate s and (S,S)-alpha,alpha'-dihydroxyphosphinates were achieved by the reactio n of methyl phosphinate with aldehydes in the presence of Al-Li-BINOL compl ex. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
