Abstract
Current problems in parent broiler chickens caused by the new avian leukosi s virus subgroup J are described. The possibilities and limitations of diag nosing avian leukosis, and in particular that caused by the J subgroup viru s, are reviewed and the eradication of the disease is discussed.
