Abstract
Amino acids such as DL-2-amino-n-butyric acid, DL-alanine, L-lysine monohyd rochloride, DL-valine and L-proline enhanced total xylanase production from Staphylococcus sp. SG-13 up to 5.5-fold. The present study showed that xyl anase production has mainly been governed by the chemical structure of amin o acids and their analogues.
