Abstract
Lithiated di-tert.-butylmethylsilylaminotrichlorosilane reacts with tetrahy drofurane with formation of the 14-membered heterocyclus 1 [(CMe3)(2)MeSi-N -SiCl2-O(CH2)(4)](2) and LiCl. The mechanism of the THF-cleavage is discuss ed and the results of the crystal structure of 1 are reported.
