Abstract
Avulsion fractures of the tibial tuberosity are uncommon injuries. They usu
ally occur during athletic activities in adolescents. The classification of
these injuries has been divided into three types. Only two cases of avulsi
on fractures of tibial tuberosity have previously been reported with associ
ated damages to menisci. We report a type III fracture of the tibial tubero
sity associated with tear of the medial meniscus.
