Abstract
An 11-year-old neutered male spaniel cross was presented exhibiting polypha gia, polyuria, polydipsia, excessive panting and weight loss. The dog was t achycardic, hypertensive and had elevated thyroxin values in serum and flui d aspirated from a left thyroid cyst. Surgical removal of the cystic thyroi d tumour resulted in normalisation of heart rate, blood pressure, demeanour , polyuria, polydipsia and weight.
