Abstract
Four new species of Agaue (Acarina: Halacaridae) are described from the Gre at Barrier Reef Marine Park, namely Agaue aliena, Agaue bella, Agaue galate a, and Agaue reichelti. These species, collected from algae, dead coral, an d coarse sediment, bring the total number of Agaue species known from Austr alia to ten and the number of Agaue species known from tropical regions to ten.
