Abstract
Calcium and strontium diiodide react with 2,5-di-tert-butylpyrrolylsodium i n THF yielding [M(pyr*)(2)(THF)] (M = Ca, Sr; pyr* = NC4H2Bu2t-2,5) for whi ch NMR spectra and the X-ray structures confirm the eta(5)-bonding characte r of the ligands.
