Biological effect on sugar beet seeds induced by ion implantation

Through experimental analysis of peroxidase isozyme in the leaves of sugar beets, it has been verified that the enzyme activity of dry sugar beet seed s is closely connected with the doses of N+ ion implanted, and that low dos age implantation helps to bring about enzyme activation. Meanwhile, new enz yme bands appear, and the growing quantity and trend of sugar beets increas e distinctly. The best result can be obtained when the dose of ion implanta tion is 4x10(16)N(+)/cm(2) and the number of pulse is 60 times.
