Abstract
This report critically reviews recent original research articles concerning patient use of depot medroxyprogesterone acetate. Specifically, recent stu dies have been conducted on the following clinical issues: depression, gala ctorrhea, weight gain, bone mineral density, epithelial and mucus changes i n the lower genital tract, and the acceptability of and continuation rates with the use of depot medroxyprogesterone acetate.
