Ethics of community psychiatry

Psychiatric care in the community gives rise to ethical dilemmas which rese mble those associated with predominantly institutional care. However, there are also dilemmas specifically associated with community care, many of whi ch are conceptual as well as practical. Papers addressing both conceptual a nd practical ethical dilemmas are reviewed including some papers which deal with the ethical issues associated with violence in the community by the m entally ill.
