Abstract
An overview of internal and external assisted liposuction is presented. His tory of the technique development, physics, and biologic basis of ultrasoun d indications, surgical technique, and current equipment are reviewed. The use of ultrasound in combination with Liposuction is evolving and needs mor e scientific study and refinement.
