We have investigated the photoelectrochemical behavior of poly(3-methylthio
phene) supported on nanostructured n-TiO2 in a solid-state photoelectrochem
ical device. As electrolyte we employed the elastomer poly( epichlorohydrin
-co-ethylene oxide) tilled with NaI/I-2. Under polychromatic light irradiat
ion (60 mW cm(-2)) the device exhibits an open circuit voltage, a shore-cir
cuit current and fill factor of 10 mu A cm(-2), 0.048 V and 0.29, respectiv
ely. The overall efficiency of the cell is 2.3 X 10(-2)%. (C) 1999 Elsevier
