Abstract
9-Amino-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroacridine (Tacrine), a cognitive enhancer, is an i nhibitor of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase. The synthesis of no-carrier-ad ded 7-[I-123]iodotacrine, was accomplished in four steps for potential use in mapping acetylcholinesterase.
