Abstract
Parts 1 and 2 (July/August and September 1999) in this three-part series pr esented a detailed overview of the knowledge-intense organization, staffed by knowledge workers who practice primarily in sophisticated interdisciplin ary teams. In this article, the authors describe the benefits and challenge s of preparing nurses and other healthcare professionals to practice in suc h interdisciplinary knowledge teams.
