Abstract
We have introduced a silicon metal in 5, 10, 15, 20-tetrakis(4-n-dodecylphe nyl)porphyrin con to have the complexes possessing two axial ligands (C12TP PSi(X)(2), X=OH (1) or OCH3 (2)) in terms of highly conducting liquid cryst alline materials. The mesomorphic properties were investigated by different ial scanning calorimetry (DSC), optical microscopy, and X-ray diffraction t echnique.
