Abstract
The results are presented of experimental studies on the frequency dispersi on of nonreciprocal linear birefringence in the visible spectral range in l ithium iodate crystal in a magnetic field. The measurements were performed by the modulation technique based on an original double-pass optical scheme using two linear lambda/4 phase plates.
