Genetic inferences on the performance of five tomato cultivars (Angela I.51
00, Floradade, IPA-05, Jumbo AG-592 and Santa Clara) and their p(p - 1)/2 h
ybrids for production characteristics and fruit quality were obtained throu
gh Hayman's methodology (1954). The results showed a favorable situation fo
r breeding to production characteristics, but not for content of soluble so
lids, total carotenoids, and content of betacarotene. The data evidenced lo
w variability in the cultivars studied.
