Abstract
A variety of 1,3,4-oxadiazoles 1 linked to the N atom of the phenothiazine framework through a two carbon atom chain has been prepared by condensation of the 3-(10H-phenothiazin-10-yl)propionic hydrazide 2 with different sulf urated reagents (CS2, isothiocyanates, O-ethyl thiocarboxylates) and subseq uent cyclization of the resulting products.
