Abstract
Direct nucleophilic displacement of TsiSi(C6H4-OMe-p)MeI and TsiSi(C6H4-Me- p)MeI with nucleophiles take place. These compounds also react with electro philes such as AgOAc and AgNO3 to give rearrangment products, for example ( Me3Si)(2)C(SiMe(2)OAC)SiMe2 (C6H4-Y-p) (Y = Me, OMe). The hydrides and brom ides of these compounds were also synthesised.
