Abstract
Magnetic response of the superconducting mixed state of CeRu2 is studied us ing a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and a comparison is made with the results obtained earlier with the SQUID magnetometer. While confirming var ious results associated with the anomalous peak-effect in CeRu2, the presen t VSM study also reveals some interesting new features which were not obser ved in the SQUID-magnetometer studies.
