t electron are determined from the Schrodinger equation with proper boundar
y conditions, The traditional 'exchange' term follows from the boundary con
dition which respects a spacial exclusion principle for equal spins. The re
sulting potential compares reasonably well with standard local density pote
ntials and the approach is feasible for extensions towards non-local effect
