Abstract
Substituted aroylpyruvamides react with hydrazine and phenylhydrazine to gi ve 5-aryl-5-hydroxy-2-pyrazoline-3-carboxamides rather than 5-arylpyrazole- 3-carboxamides as suggested before. The structures of the compounds obtaine d are discussed.
