Abstract
The ray velocity in elastically anisotropic austenitic steel is analyzed in the model of a transversely isotropic medium. It is shown that the deviati on of the ray velocity from the phase velocity in a magnetized medium acqui res singularities in the vicinity of directions corresponding to the veloci ty degeneracy of normal modes.
