Abstract
The effect of a remote substituent on the regioselectivity in the oxymercur ation of unsymmetrical substituted norbornenes has been investigated. Moder ate to high levels of regioselectivity were observed with both exo- and end o-substituents at C-2 of norbornenes. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All ri ghts reserved.
