Abstract
Varying concentration of the chloromethyl tolyl sulfone carbanion influence s the rate of its VNS reaction with 2-fluoro-4-bromonitrobenzene and change s the mechanistic scheme from thermodynamic to kinetic control. Both primar y and secondary kinetic isotope effects are observed and are clearly connec ted with particular kinetic relations. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. AII r ights reserved.
