Abstract
Cyclopentenone and dichlorocycloalkenes give [2+2] adducts whose stere ochemistry (from modern NMR) is mostly cis,anti,cis; cis,syn,cis minor adducts are also found. Cophotolysis of dichlorocyclohexene and cyclo heptanocyclopentenone does not give any adduct.
