F. Anglade et al., SEPTAL SCOPOLAMINE SYSTEMIC DIAZEPAM INTERACTION IN PASSIVE-AVOIDANCELEARNING IN RATS, Behavioural pharmacology, 7(8), 1996, pp. 827-829
The role of the septal region in passive avoidance (step-through) lear
ning was studied by administering 15 mu g/0.5 mu l of scopolamine intr
aseptally to rats, together with an i.p. injection of 2 mg/kg of diaze
pam to the same animals. The combined treatment provoked a severe impa
irment in retention of the learning situation, whereas animals which r
eceived either scopolamine or diazepam alone did not show any deficit.
