Abstract
We show for linear operator equations that Adomian's decomposition method i s equivalent to the classical method of successive approximations (Picard i terations). Hence, in contrast to previous claims, it is no more rapidly co nvergent than previous methods and may in fact be divergent. (C) 1999 Elsev ier Science Inc. AII rights reserved.
