Abstract
This article evaluates common techniques for coverage of digital tissu e defects including skin grafts, advancement flaps, rotation flaps, th enar flaps, and fillet flaps. An appreciation of the physiology of fla p healing in relation to the health of the defect site and the potenti al functional result better guides the choice of optimal-tissue covera ge.
