Abstract
The effects of additives [N(CH2CH2OH)(3), (NaPO3)(n)(n=10 similar to 20), ( NH4)(2)CO3] on rheological properties of TiO2/water dispersions were studie d through measurements of shear viscosity, yield stress and thixotropic loo ps, The results show that TiO2/water dispersions exhibit the best disperse property, low viscosity without yield stress when the mass fraction of N(CH 2CH2OH)(3) is 0. 1%; but (NaPO3)(n)(n=10 similar to 20) beheves the time de pendence as dispersant for TiO2/water dispersions, as flocculation agent in TiO2 industry, the concentration of (NH4)(2)CO3 has effects on the rheolog ical properties of TiO2/water dispersions.
