The influence of KCl, methanol, and ethanol, as well as the temperature and
molecular structure of quaternary ammonium salts (QASs), on the ability of
their micelles to solubilize ethyl benzene and methyl methacrylate in an a
queous medium was investigated. Solubilization kinetics was found to depend
on the nature of the functional groups and alkyl radical length in QAS mol
ecules as well as on the nature of the additives and solubilizates.
