Abstract
Calculation scheme allowing approximation of the surface energy of polycrys talline metals was elaborated based on the modified Stefan relation. The ap proach proposed takes into account both thermophysical and electronic prope rties of single substances. Examples of the application of the proposed met hod to some Ia and IIa metals are reported.
