Some known results in the projective case are extended to the Kahler case: structure of the Green-Lazarsfeld set Sigma(1)(X); nilpotency of certain so lvable quotients of pi(1) (X), structure of pi(1) (F) for F a generic fiber of the algebraic reduction of X, when.
