Yi. Golovin et al., Relaxation processes stimulated by a weak magnetic field in the subsystem of point defects in ionic crystals, CRYSTALLO R, 44(5), 1999, pp. 825-828
It is established that the magnetoelastic effect in ionic crystals can occu
r only in the presence of metastable states of point defects. These states
call be caused either by freezing of high-temperature state of these defect
s or by mechanical loading in the process of dislocation introduction. The
kinetics of the two-stage field-induced relaxation process in the subsystem
of point defects in unloaded crystals is analyzed in terms of thermodynami
cs of nonequilibrium processes.
