Abstract
Geometric isomers of pentamidine analogues were screened for antimicrobial activity in vitro, cis isomers demonstrated good antibacterial activity com pared to their trans counterparts. Both isomers were moderately active agai nst opportunistic pathogens that afflict AIDS patients with minimum inhibit ory concentrations in the range of 3.12-12.5 mu g/mL.
