Abstract
From transverse Ising model, the phase transition properties of ferroelectr ic films with part of surface diluted with non-ferroelectric sites have bee n studied. It was found that the Curie temperature is reduced by the propor tion of the diluted area, and the reduction is more sensitive when the film becomes thinner. The surface polarization is always reduced by surface dil ution.
