Jm. Liu et al., Monte-Carlo simulation of the P-E hysteresis and domain switching in ferroelectric Potts lattice, FERROELECTR, 229(1-4), 1999, pp. 77-82
A Monte-Carlo approach based on the Q-state Potts model is developed to sim
ulate dynamic hysteresis of ferroelectric Potts lattice against periodic ti
me-varying external field E. The dynamic responses of the hysteresis depend
ent of frequency omega of applied field and domain size R are studied. The
P-E loop exhibits very different patterns in various ranges of frequency. I
ts area can be scaled with Omega similar to omega(1/3) at low omega. The re
mnant polarization P-r shows a maximal as a function of w. At small domain
size, the dynamic hysteresis is significantly compressed, predicting ferroe
lectricity weakening effect at small domain size.
