Catheter ablation using radiofrequency (RF) is a,widely accepted treatment
option in patients with common type atrial flutter (AF). This case report d
escribes a successful ablation of AF with a new closed cooled tip ablation
in a 70-year-old woman with recurrent symptomatic AF. The ablation was perf
ormed during sinus rhythm. With a series of five energy applications bi-dir
ectional isthmus block was established. The procedure was well tolerated wi
th no complications.
