The magnetoresistance of a multiple micro-wire system consisting of an Pe-N
i wire and a crossing Cu wire was investigated. In this system, the magneti
c field produced by the electric current flowing in the Cu wire acts locall
y on a part of the Fe-Ni wire. The magnetization reversal of the Fe-Ni wire
can be controlled by adjusting the strength and the sense of the local fie
ld. Reversed magnetic domain nucleates at the position under the Cu wire wh
en the local field is parallel to the external magnetic field, but the prop
agation of the magnetic domain wall is obstructed at this position by the a
pplication of the local field antiparallel to the external field.
