Abstract
This paper describes nonlinear relations between magnetization time decay M (t) and log(t), observed for metal particulate (MP), Ba ferrite particulate (BF), and metal evaporated (ME) tapes plus sputter-deposited disk media. W hen observation time was sufficiently long (24 hours for the present study) , it was found that all the media exhibited nonlinear magnetization time de cay. Magnetization decay time constants for MP and BF media were estimated by applying Richter-type demagnetization.
