Abstract
Colossal magnetoresistance(CMR), Mossbauer spectra, and neutron diffraction of the iron-doped manganite, (La0.67Ca0.33Mn0.99Fe0.01O3)-Fe-57 have been studied. The crystal structure is found to be cubic perovskite with the lat tice parameter a(0) = 3.868 Angstrom. It is notable that the Curie temperat ure, T-C = 270 K, line broadening and 1,6 and 3,4 line-width difference app ear to suggest anisotropic hyperfine field fluctuation. The temperature dep endence of the effective anisotropy energy is also found to decrease rapidl y with increasing temperature.
