Abstract
The reactions of bis(cyclopentadienyl)titanium(IV) chloride with 2,6-diacet ylpyridine-bis(S-alkylisothiosemicarbazones) have been studied in anhydrous tetrahydrofuran and complexes of the type [(C5H5)(2)Ti(L)]Cl-2 (L = isothi osemicarbazones derived from 2,6-diacetylpyridine and S-methyl/propyl isoth iosemicarbazides) have been isolated. These derivatives contain terminal fr ee amino groups. Therefore, reactions of these derivatives with beta-diketo nes have been carried out and cyclic complexes of type [(C5H5)(2)Ti(L')]Cl- 2 have been isolated. All these derivatives have been characterised by elem ental analyses, electrical conductance and spectral (infrared, H-1 NMR and electronic) data.
